Girl nursery ideas do not have to be powder pink or cookie cutter! Zoe’s nursery is proof that a modern, upscale nursery that has pops of vibrant color and golden metallics can still be a calming environment. The folks at Joy Street Design did an amazing job creating this lovely nursery.
The oval white crib is the center of attention in the nursery. The beautiful and unique crib by stokke sits in the center of the room, allowing it to be a show piece as well as easily accessible from all angles of the room.
The walls in this room are covered with a unique, eye-catching petal pusher (gold) wallpaper adorned with the outline of gold flowers. This wallpaper allows the walls to feel light while still adding a metallic, fun flare to the room. Tying into the flowers on the wallpaper is the white modern knappa pendant lamp by Ikea that hangs over the crib and imitates the look and feel of a flower.
The back wall of the room has two white bookcases with drawers on either side of a window, offering a lighter, airy feel to the room. These bookcases are great for storage and organization. You can place easy to grab baskets where you can store burp cloths, bibs, and other baby essentials. Don’t forget to fill them with cute stuffed animals, lovely picture frames, and cute knickknacks. Between the two bookcases sits a bright pink day bed, adding a vibrant, chic feel to the room. Perfect for the anticipated all nighters, nap time for mom, or just a convenient place to relax close to baby, what new mom would not love to have a day bed in the nursery? If you fell in love with this day bed as much as we did, we recommend this easy hack for you. Since this day bed is custom made and most likely well above what moms are looking to spend, consider purchasing this beautiful Ainsley headboard in Fuschia, purchase the king size and pair it with a twin size platform storage bed. You will appreciate the drawers and you can complete the look without breaking the bank.
Another great feature of Zoe’s nursery is the storytelling area with the colorful glider. The ribba white bookshelves add a great look to the walls adorned with a variety of children’s books, adding that joyful accent to the nursery. Lastly, we couldn’t forget the white curtains that act as closet doors fusing in the white, pink, and orange flowery theme showing off baby girl’s fashionable clothing! The back of the closet is painted a light, pastel pink, carrying the girly feel into every detail of the room!
