Mila P-1

We recently discovered Mommy and Mila‘s beautiful nursery and wanted to share this charming pink and gray baby girl room. This room creatively incorporates pink touches and a striped accent wall to create a modern and tender haven for little Mila.

Paper Mache TutorialThe main focal point in this room is undeniably the uniquely designed name on the wall. Mila’s mommy Bethany DeWood created this Mila Phetsadavone “baby’s first and middle name” wall decal through Vinyl Wall Expressions, the M for Mila’s name is meticulously crafted with flowers and paper mache. The wall art is thoughtfully placed on top of the modern gray striped accent wall. For this, Bethany chose the Behr paint in Serengeti dust and Compass. Try this paper mache tutorial from The Sassy Life, we promise this to be an easy and fun diy project for any nursery!

Babyletto cribAs for the other pieces of furniture in the room, they chose the Babyletto Modo 3-in-1 Crib. This contemporary looking crib is decorated with custom-made bedding chosen from chevron and polka dot material. Bethany ties the room together through her color scheme; and the combination of polka dots, stripes, and chevron really adds a certain element of interest to the room. We found a very similar bedding set on Etsy, Fuchsia And Gray Chevron with Polka Dots, you’re welcome 🙂 polka dot & chevron hot pink crib bedding

The changing table is clever, as it is actually an Ikea shelving unit, which they plan on converting to a book shelf for Mila when she is older. They add four pink bins to the changing table for hidden storage. To enlarge the nursery, a beautifully large and white framed mirror is placed above the changing table.

Brushed nickel balls floor lampBethany expertly makes the room pop by using pink accents from the lampshade and wall decals, to the ribbon on the crib.  The floor lamp is from the Ekarp Ikea collection, but you can find similar ones online if there’s not an Ikea near you. Try the Brushed Steel Stacked Ball Floor Lamp by J. Hunt Home from Wayfair, you can purchase the pink or chevron patterned shade of your choice to replace the white. A few personal touches, such as photos and a framed name artwork pull this cozy pink and gray nursery together for a place I am sure they enjoy spending a lot of time in.
